The Traveler’s House, at 412 W. Patrick Street, is a 1050 square-foot, 2-story brick “shotgun row house” built in 1890, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and original heart pine floors.   Completely renovated in late 2010, this warm, cozy house has been furnished to provide a relaxing and attractive oasis to guests, with all the comforts of home. 

The Traveler’s House is tastefully decorated with an eclectic assortment of international artifacts, photographs, paintings, music and books.  

On the first floor are 

·         a front living room with a faux-tin ceiling, crown molding, a large L-shaped sleep sofa (king size), decorative screen and a 46-inch flat screen HDTV;

·         a central dining room with bookshelves, an oak secretary’s desk and a small antique pedestal table that can accommodate up to 6 diners with the addition of a leaf;

·         a fully-equipped kitchen with updated appliances, kitchen island with seating for 2, granite countertops and a closet/pantry;

·         a tiny backyard porch with wicker loveseat, table and chairs;

·         a private backyard with large beautiful trees and additional patio furniture for outdoor dining.

Both bedrooms have luxury Sleep Number (Select Comfort) mattresses, designer linens, dressers, ceiling fans, and closets.  

The 120 year-old Traveler’s House is heated with hot water steam heat.  The boiler is new, but the radiators are original with the house.  Air conditioning is provided in warmer months via 2 very effective window units.  The house also has 4 ceiling fans.
